Rakaposhi base camp trek one of the easiest treks in the region with the magnificent view of Rakaposhi,
Diran peak and Hunza valley. The Minapin Glacier sweeps down from long fluted snowy ridge that
connects Rakaposhi and Diran.The excellent short trek from Minapin village to Rakaposhi base camp,
known locally as Tagaphari, easily accessible from the KKH, the trek follows a good trail, offers sweeping
vistas of Rakaposhi and Diran and is the standard route to the base camps of both peaks.
Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival Islamabad transfer to hotel, city tour/ Hotel
Day 02: Fly to Gilgit/drive to Chilas 12-14hrs (incase of flight cancellation) 12hrs/Hunza Hotel
Day 03: Drive to Minapin village and continue trekking to Hapakun 3 hrs 2700m. Camp
Day 04: Trek Hapakun to Tagafari meadows 3100m 3/4 hrs.Camp .
Day 05: Day walk up to the ridge to have excellent views of Rakaposhi and surroundings
Day 06: Trek back to Minapin village 4 hrs and Drive to Hunza Karimabad
Day 07: Explore Baltit and Altit fort. Hotel
Day 08: Drive to Passu village 2400m/ Hotel
Day 09: Drive to Khunjerab pass China border and back to Gilgit 6-8hrs/Hotel
Day 10: Fly to Islamabad or drive to Islamabad 14hrs/hotel
Day 11: Day free at Islamabad
Day 12: Transfer to airport for International flight
